Yes there are plenty of ways to make money you can plant money in the ground and grow a money tree. Or you can sell foreign fruit or you can cheat. On your DS settings change the date to 2099 and then play you will get a letter saying something like
thank you for haveing money
in the bank for 30 days and
you now get 99,999 bells interest.
now that you have done that go back to 2000 and then repeat the first step and you will get money again.

Have you seen a UFO flying your town? if so shoot it out of the sky.. You will sort of witness it falling to your town then it shoulod say: "an unidentified object has landed on our town." ho find it it will most likely be around the top of the town continue to talk to the creature beside the ship untill he stands up and then you will have a full on conversation and he will give you a reward for finding all of the missing pieces of his ship then you can get back to your buisness around the town. hope he gives something good.
